Laurent L.N. Bonczijk had just red pointed on a 5.8c and called for take. After a couple botched attempts at lowering him his partner, Bridget, lowered him. But she couldn’t slow the rope down. Bonczijk hit the ground and fell, but miraculously escaped unharmed.
Bridget felt horrible about the incident but Bonczijk took it pretty lightly. “You gave me my shot of adrenaline for the day,” he said.

Anyone still reading this? I know I have been gone for a while. My excuse is that my parents still live in the 20th century and don't have the internet yet. So for the best part of three months I was horribly deprived. Don't worry though, the shaking is now resorbing. I have been able to already work an insane amount of hours between Laidlaw, The Barometer, and regular course work. I am currently receiving a ton of "fan" mail following a piece I did on a brawl involving OSU students. One of the complaints is that the story was one sided. If the other people involved had returned my calls or been willing to do an interview the story wouldn't have been that way. On the plus side it seems that Atalia and I have finally found lodging in mud-in-the-hole-Salem-Oregon.
