060130 Week 4

As the title implies today is the first day of week four and of those fun things called midterms. As a matter of fact I have one tomorrow. It will be allright. Maybe. Yesterday I did something I had never done before. No, it wasn't a gay sheep. I am not on the football team. I dropped HST 388 Islamic Civ. I have never had such a sigh of relief. Don't take me wrong the class was hella interesting. It was the paper with all those damned sources and the 15 other credits I were also taking, including the Seminar course with its 30 page research paper on historical fiction. The best thing about week 4 is that we will not be meeting anymore for the seminar class (library here I come!) and hence won't have to suffer through discussion with The Girl. I didn't quite catch her name but she is quite possible the most annoying human being I have ever met. (and I work with grade and middle schoolers every morning) She was constantly commenting, yet managed to never have an insightful remark to make. I thought Dr. Nye was going to explode. She was driving me so mad I kept writing shut up! In the margins of my notebook. I was physically cringing. Horrible. We will now go back to our regularly scheduled studying for NMC 435.

060126 Decline of the Ottoman Empire

I have once again let too much pass between blogs. I have been insanely busy with school though. That’s my excuse and I will stand by it. Anyway after doing an internship during the break and having a nightmarish cold weather training drill the best news I have is that Thomas and Laurent are coming to visit during spring break. The tentative schedule includes Sin City, Red Rock, and the CA coast…
